With all the RVs I've owned, the refrigerators never seemed to be designed for travel.  You pack up the refrigerator and when you arrive at your destination everything is jumbled towards the bottom of the refrigerator.  One trick I found is to place an expandable curtain rod inside the refrigerator at strategic locations.

In the image below, the top refrigerator shelf doesn't extend all the way to the back of the refrigerator, allowing items to fall between the shelf and back of the refrigerator.  Placing a cheap expandable curtain rod keeps the food from falling through that gap.  I'm probably going to place several more curtain rods in the refrigerator.  What's nice is they are easy to move around or remove completely at any time.  I guess you could call them c-rods for the r-pod LOL

Budward, thanks for the link.  I never thought the problem was big enough for someone to market curtain rods for that purpose.  You would think RV fridge makers would consider "movement" or "travel" as part of their design, but apparently not.

With my last RV, I had large ice tea cans fall from the top shelf, hit the bottom of the fridge, and actually crack the lining.  I ended up using stick-on kitchen tiles on the bottom of the fridge which helped.  Then frozen goods fell out of the back of the freezer, so I stuck a big sponge back there and it kept the frozen food from falling out.  People would open the fridge and see curtain rods, kitchen tile and sponges and scratch their head!
