Does anyone have a crib type solution for a baby >1 years old?

We just spent the last weekend with our granddaughter in a 178! We placed the crib in the middle each night and it worked great. Now that I have had time to think, placing the crib on the dinette would have work better? Just have to make it into a bed each night...
