Bought a  air mattress to add some needed comfort. Not sure if I need to put the cushions on top or bottom or eliminate all together. What say you.

For the dinette conversion? Most of us use 2" or 3" memory foam...don't know that there is any comfort to be had from an air mattress.

We put ours on top of the cushions when we use the air mattress in the dinette area.  The fit is a little tight, but it works great.  Very comfortable.  Mostly we use the bunks in our 176 with a couple of inches of memory foam.

I am very fond of my new http://www.alpsmountaineering.com/alps/products/pads/self-inflating-air-pads - Alps Mountaineering self inflating air pad . It packs away nicely and adjusts to whatever comfort level I choose. Will be great for sleeping under the dome when I find a nice cot.
