I just replaced my MTI 20-441-WT 12V Series LP (propane) Gas Detector because it had reached 5 years old. I wanted to find out how much current it drew, the manufactures data sheet says it draws 90ma (.09 amps). I hooked up my Fluke Multi Meter and measured 70ma (.07 amps). If you need one with a slightly less current draw MTI Ind. has a model 40-441A. In the owner’s manual it says “NOMINAL CURRENT DRAW 46mA” (.046 amps) but on the web site it says 90ma, so I am not sure what is the correct current draw for that model
