I just wanted to give a big thumbs up to DuFours RV in Fitchburg MA. Easy to deal with during the sale. And did a fantastic walk though on delivery, all the guys told me everything I needed to know and some good tips. Many of those folks have been working there for decades, it is nice to get a walk though and set up tips from people who have so many years under their belts - it does make a difference. They are a great example of when to support a small local dealer

Hello! I hope you are enjoying your 171. My husband and I are starting our search and live in Massachusetts. We were considering a big wholesale retailer versus Dufours but can't decide if the discount is worth it.

We want the 176 but it is hard to find locally. We'll see.

Thanks for the review of Dufours!

We bought ours from DuFours as well. We will be picking up our 183-G on Friday. So far it has been completely painless. The salesman was great and talking with their service guy to set up the pickup and walk-through left me feeling that Friday is going to be a good day. Can't wait to be in Greenfield State Park Friday night!!!

This is a copy of my post from Maintenance Axel Warranty:

Upon return from our latest trip to Colorado I noticed that the tires on our r-179 were wearing on the outside. I pointed this out to Dave the service manager at Dufour's RV in Fitchburg, MA and asked about warranty coverage as I had purchased the extended warranty ($150) from Forest River. Dave submitted a claim to Forest River and it was approved. I will be receiving a new axel and new tires at no cost. I've read a lot of horror stories about warranty claims especially axel claims so I am pleasantly surprised. I am also thankful I bought from a local dealer that goes to bat for it's customers.

Well, in my case too I was very lucky enough to get the best of the fifth wheel RV and that too delivered by some reputed vehicle shipping contractor which by utilizing their http://ewww.wewilltransportit.com/rv-shipping - extra resources , had shipped the RV to the destination as menstioned to them.

Dufour's installed my new axle and tires last week I winterized on Sunday and yesterday tucked it into the corner of my friends heated garage for the winter. It's parked next to his new Bullet 220RBS along with some of his other toys. Smile

Hello, I am looking at R-Pods online. what did you decide on big retailer v. Dufours?  I live on Cape Cod & it's even harder to find a Forest River R-Pod dealer locally.  While I might see some savings with a big retailer, I wonder if that's a smart decision in the long run.  When problems arise - and I think it's realistic to expect some problem at some point - maybe it's smart to have a reputable, reliable dealer to turn to.

We haven't bought it yet but we definitely plan on using Dufours. Good luck!

I bought my 172 at dufours from bruce. Nice guy, didnt screw around with the price, trying to get me to fight to get the price down, i thought his first price was pretty reasonable. I had gone to a place a little further away because they actually had a 172 on site, and got a quick comparison on how NOT to do business. The guy wanted me to fill out paperwork before even giving me a real price. The next place i saw that dealership was in my rearview mirror. I had considered the trip to ohio and save the shipping costs, but i like knowing that dufours is 25 minutes away to support me, so i bought from them. I left the pod in their lot for winter, and will get my walk thru in april or may. I saw them at the bayside expo R.V. show on saturday the 14th, they had 4 or 5 models on display. Lots of huge, oversized, overpriced R.V.'s at the show. I'm good with my pod.
