Hey neighbor. We're up the river from you - Lambertville/NewHope are by way of Maryland, New York and South Florida. Long story.

Still getting reacquainted with Northeast Spring. After 25 years in South Florida, it really is amazing.

Hello and welcome to the Pod world. I'm from northern VT and am looking for a place to set up my 179 Pod in or near the Bridgewater, NJ area. Our oldest daughter is expecting the first grandchild on 7/8/16. We would like to have a place close by to be there when the baby arrives. Anyone know of any spots?
Thanks,
Marc & Patrice

I can't help you with camping information, but I do want to congratulate you on the first grandchild. They are really precious.

Hi Leo,

Nice hearing from you. I am well and having a blast with this retirement thing. This will be the first summer in many years that I have no obligations to anyone but my wife. We are looking forward to spending days on the road pulling the rpod.
Hope things are well with you and your family. Take care and maybe we'll see each other on the road.

Hi Marc and congratulations!! You may want to look into http://www.state.nj.us/dep/parksandforests/parks/spruce.html - Spruce Run Recreation Area . It's about 1/2 hour west of Bridgewater. An alternative may be http://www.state.nj.us/dep/parksandforests/parks/voorhees.html - Vorhees State Park .

Hope that helps!

Marc,

My experience traveling the country and almost always staying at State or National parks it is best to try to check availability and book online at either http://www.reserveamerica.com - Reserve America  or http://www.recreation.gov - Recreation.gov . I rarely have had good luck via phone.

For Spruce Run:   http://www.reserveamerica.com/camping/spruce-run-recreation-area/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NJ&parkId=670045 - http://www.reserveamerica.com/camping/spruce-run-recreation-area/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NJ&parkId=670045

Hope that helps.

I live 15 minutes from Spruce Run, have camped there twice. Both times were excellent experiences. Reservation literally  months in advance are necessary for the waterfront sites.

I am not aware that there is RV camping in Vorhees State Park, though I could be wrong. That's 20 minutes from my home.
