I recently bought a used 2015 178 with a Dometic 8501 fridge.  It was working when I bought it from the previous owner,  But am about to use it and it is not working ...at all.  No inside lights, no LEDs on the control panel.

I have checked the fuse box and breakers.  I am getting power to the receptacle at the back of the fridge and it is plugged in.

I cannot find another fuse on the refrigerator itself.  I am not sure if one exists or not.

Any suggestions or similar experience?

Do you have 12v power? It has to have 12v power to run its brain.

Are you sure it's turned on? You have to press and hold the power button for a few seconds to turn it on.

We are having the same problem. However, our unit is brand new!

Also, are you trying to run it on 110V, 12V, or propane? Have you verified that your batteries are supplying 12V power? The Dometic requires 12V to work. That is what powers the panel. If your battery/batteries is/are dead, then it won't work, even if you are trying to run it on 110V or propane. If you have verified that you have 12V power to the camper, then try to turn it on as furpod suggested.

When you checked the fuse/breaker panel, did you pull the fuse out and look close at it? Some of the 12V fuses can appear to be good when in reality, they are blown. If the fuse is indeed good, it should turn on.

Are you plugged into shore power? If not, like Furpod said...first order of business is to verify that you have 12v power to the fridge.

Our 2013 176T had this problem today. On another blog someone suggested checking the connections on the display panel.  We found them to be loose.  Just a couple of screws later we tightened everything up and now it is working fine!

Check the plug or electric connection.
It includes complex units that need proper care.
