I favorite hobby is trail riding in my Jeep. I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty 4X4 Limited. Here is what I have done to it so far:
3.5" Suspension lift Tires went from 29" to 32" aggressive off road tires Aftermarket steel front bumper Soft 8 steel rims Roof basket with 4 Hella 500 lights 8,000 pound winch Removed the back seat & extended the rear deck to the front seat Fire extinguisher First aid kit with snake bit kit 20 pound CO2 tank Front suspension modified for an additional 1" lift Rear bumper trimmed 6" for additional clearence Full steel skid plates under body Wrap around steel plate for the gas tank Steel tube skid plates (sliders) to protect the rocker panels Differential gears changed from 3.73 to 4.10
The way it sets right now it is 6" higher than when it was stock. It also is a lot heavier!
I like trail riding the best. Nice long trails with plenty of obstacles in it such as large rocks, mud, streams, hills and fallen trees etc. I have run through mud bogs and they just get boring after awhile. I have done some good off road parks that are set up to challenge your ride and your off road driving abilities. If they are large enough they are a lot of fun. Cross your fingers...so far I haven't broken anything!
Here are some pics:
Look real close! That is me going through a stream.
