Picked up a new tow vehicle a few weeks ago. First time I have owned a truck as a daily driver being a diehard sports car guy.
The end of model year deals were just to hard to resist.

2016 F150 3.5 ecoboost. 4x4. Sport package. Also has the pro trailer assist  And the trailer package option. 7000 gvw.

I just signed on a new/used 2015 Nissan Frontier w/15000 miles. They say it can pull 6500 #'s. Not quite the beast you got, but it'll get the job done with a 4.0L V6. I'd include a photo, but i evidently don't have permission. " Mom? can i please post a photo on a camping forum?"  "Pleeease"

+1 on the half ton pickups for the pod.

My TV is a 2015 tundra 4x4 5.7ltr v8.  This is my third Tundra.  I grew up on Chevy and Fords.  I have always had 1/2 ton size pickups and just prefer the size and capabilities.  gas mileage is decent and as i have said, it has to work some towing the pod.  My truck has the short 6.5ft bed, but he room is nice for all the stuff you end up carrying on trips. i added a bed cover, which is nice for locking all the stuff up and keeping it dry.
I get 17mpg highway and 15 city, without the pod and about 12 mpg with.  The tow ratings, tran coolers, tow mode, gvwr is all well documented.  i am not at maximum capacity with the pod, but that is the point. It is a much more enjoyable experience for me when the TV  is not having to work at the max output to take a trip.  And, i know i have extra capacity for the surprises that arise out on the road and the back roads.  I am more of boondocker as well.

just the 2 cents worth.

I was eyeing your truck at the Pod delivery. Wink So far I'm very happy with mine. Starting to get used to driving a big truck. Our Dakota was much smaller. This one wouldn't fit in the garage next to my wife's car Confused
I ended up parking it in the part of the garage I keep my british cars in because it is set back an additional 4-5 inches. You can't walk around it with the door down. When it gets warm I need to rearrange the garage and shop area.
We planned on building a pole barn this year but bought the Rpod with the money instead. Tongue The barn will need to wait a few more years.

What issue are you seeing?  You should be able to post a pic.  Make sure it isn't too big.

Ok, it appears that if i reply to you, i get an option to upload a photo. But if i just use quick post (my normal post method) i guess it doesnt support photo upload. I'm gonna try it and see if this works. This photo is before the tonneau cover was installed. got a nice tri-fold hard shell locking cover now.

I normally don't think of red for a full-sized truck color choice, but this is one very sharp color... looks really great with the black grill and trim.... awesome looking rig.

You won't have to worry about too many people pulling out in front of you suddenly from a side-road with a red TV, so the odds are much better for you  NOT having to brake hard, (as opposed to us, in our grayish blue truck.)

Yep, very much like your color choice, and a bit jealous of your aircraft grade aluminum lightweight structure that is now unique to the new Ford trucks. Saves weight, benefits your power-to-weight ratio. Nice pick all around, in my opinion ! ! ! Happy Podding out there, Blimey.

+1 ....on the Ford Ecoboost engines. That is a really nice truck with the sport package and the striking color. That truck probably has a console mounted shifter which will really be nice to manually shift the truck when going downhill. I am extremely jealous as my 2014 F150 pales in comparison!....lol ....congrats on arguably "the best" TV for our class of trailers!!!

literMy F-150 is a 2010 pre Ecoboost 5.7 liter V8.  It has the heavy duty tow package and pulls our 177 like a dream.  It is red also, but a different red (Royal Red).  I can't imagine a better performing TV for a pod.  Tell me about that backing assst i see advertised.

Thanks for the comments. Red is my color. I have 4 red cars(my passion is Little british cars) and traded a red GTI in on this truck.

It does have the bucket seat/console set up.It was part of the sport package.
