Our 176T has an electronic tongue jack, which is great until the battery has no charge and you can't plug into an electrical hookup.  Is there a manual override? When hooked up the vehicle it won't run if the battery dead.

You should have gotten a manual crank with it. You usually just have to remove a panel to expose the socket that the crank goes into for manual operation.

There's a rubber plug on the top of the electric jack where the manual crank goes...

Have fun!

I have to remove two screws to get at the manual crank socket on ours: the bubble level covers up the hole.

I had a pop-up camper in the past that had an electronic wench to raise and lower the sides and the one time the battery died I jumped the trailer battery with the TV and it provided enough power to operate it.  I have not had to try that with our 179.  I did not receive a crank from the dealer; another oversight on their part.

Hi-Lo? My family had one when I was a teenager. My dad had to replace cables a time or two.

Why not just back your vehicle up an hook power from it to trailer. After just a few minutes of charge your electric tongue Jack should work fine.

The hookup from the vehicle doesn't charge the battery.  Learned that the hard way. Not on our model anyways.

That's not good. You need to check that out. The capability is there, perhaps your tow vehicle is the culprit. I know with some GM products it was necessary to add a fuse. But I think you want your TV to charge your TT batt.

If the 7 pin hookup is properly wired your vehicle will charge the R-pod battery.
