I'm pretty sure any Forest River dealer will work with you.  Congrats of getting the Pod!

Congrats Bob! I hope you enjoy your 177 as much as we do ours.
My hubby gave me the "RV Basics" book for Christmas, and I love it....I've learned a lot.  I like their info on maps.

I live in Bluffton sc and I get my r-pod serviced at Camping world. They sell Forest River rvs so they will do warranty work.Smile We are having a Carolinas r-pod rally in September. Everybody's welcome. You can find out about it on the R-Pod Nations Forum. Best of Luck and hope you can come!!

Its called "RVing Basics" by Bill & Jan Moeller. Its a bit old (published in 1995) but it gave me a good vocabulary & basic knowledge.  There are also some good web sites, Bill's Hints: Great for learning how to use an RVRV'ing My Way - The Beginner's HomeIntroduction to Motor Homes | eHow.com, & Safety Tips for Fifth Wheel & Travel Trailer Towing - RV Basics .com which were pretty good.  Of course, there's nothing like direct experience.

We just money down on a 177 too!  The walk through should be interesting.  What book did you go through?

Hi!  I'm excited about picking up my new 177 tomorrow.  Dealer promised a 90 min. walk through....good since I'm not very handy. I have a ton of questions.  If he can't answer them I'll be back here.  Its nice to know there's a group. Hopefully, the modifications on my 2004 Toyota Sienna (transmission cooler, brake controller, hitch wiring modification) will be done today.  I've been reading a whole bunch on the internet and a book.  I would like to know your experience with getting service in locations other than the selling dealership since we're purchasing the unit in Richmond, MN & will be spending most of the year (8-9 mo) in coastal NC where the nearest dealerships are in northeastern NC & northern SC.  Thanks in advance.
