Soon-to-be owners of a new 178!  We'll be traveling around this summer after picking it up in Ohio.  Look forward to all the helpful info and this and the other site.  Since we're totally new to RV's, we are very thankful for the wealth of information we've already gathered!

Welcome and safe, happy travels.

We love our 177, so you should really love the extra room of your 178.  The little detail I really like is the
outside storage access to the space under the settee.  Great spot for hitch components and set-up gear.
If not for the fear of cutting out some critical frame component, I would add a marine "inspection port"
type of panel to our 177.

going from tenting straight to a Pod is the easiest thing you'll ever do.  we did it 3 years ago and have never looked back!

We're excited for the adventure...only a bit nervous about towing something, but a little practice and we'll be fine, I'm sure! We'll see how sharp the learning curve is and may even do a little dry camping by the end of the summer, once we get back west. Many places of beauty without hookups:)
