This guy does not make any of the parts he just puts together the kits. Pulse fuel pump. $11.45 http://www.amazon.com/Stens-520-590-Replaces-Stratton-49040-7001/dp/B001OK4G50/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_8 Fuel Filter $5.37 25 inches of fuel line with 4 spring hose clamps. Not as fancy and the crimp plastic but the same as original equipment. $8.97 Probobly need two of these for $17.94. The hardest part to find was the 1/4 inch check valve that he used to replace the PCV Valve. I found this for $6.97 The fuel connection that he installed was a connection for an outboard motor. $9.99 This is the connector to change the 1/4 OD for the fuel connector to 1/4 inch barbed and mount the fuel connnector this one is brass for$2.50. the one he used was nylon. And Brass T's at $3.38 each I think yoiu needed 2 for $6.76. I think that is just about it for $60.98 if my math is good. If I looked around at other vendors I can problobly beat the Amazon prices that I have quoted. You could do this mod for a lot less than his kit costs. Edit. You would have to add the fuel line and tanks but you have to for his kit as well. I might do this on my Generator because I hate pouring gas into it. |

Way beyond my price point for the convenience of not having to top of the generator as often. I didn't have the patience to watch the guy show shoulders on screws for half an hour, but if, as Techntrek implies, the thing ain't absolutely foolproof, you gotta be kidding me! Why spend $249 on something that might pump gasoline all over the campground?

yeah I saw that thing, very expensive for a fuel pump, fuel level switch and some tubing. It does NOT come with a tank. That's why I figured I'd make my own. I would also always be worried about the switch sticking on and overflowing fuel everywhere.

I watched the install video on Penellas site for the Yamaha external fuel. Looks simple but I am sure that it will void the Yamaha 3 year warranty...possibly something to think about after 3 years.

I know, I know. Blue or red, ya can't really go wrong. I'm just sitting here recovering from this damn rotator cuff surgery and have nothin' better to do than give you a hard time and watch football. Kinda dank and cold around here now, huh, Moe? |

Saw this site from Pinellas Power Products for an extended run tank for the Yamaha EF 2400iSHC and it is NOT a gravity feed. Looks promising...anyone tried it? John

Mine is black (Dometic LS 3000). I noticed that Ryobi has a new green inverter that also shows promise but I have not seen any reviews of it. The Dometic runs the air conditioner, but not when it is in economy mode. |

Thanks for the info. Keep us posted with results and pics of the gravity flow you plan to rig up.
