I solved this by going to
camping World an buying a longer tube. Had to make two plate for it to be able to bolt it in the same place but no big deal.

This was one of my first mods on my 178.  I took the tube off, cut it in half and slid each end into a 5" vinyl fence post the right length. Mounted it under the camper to the frame using the mounting holes from the tube just in front of the drains.  Filled the gaps with foam and painted it all black.  Pretty easy and now my rhino fits in with all the fittings.  Didn't like it in storage areas anyway. Good luck and enjoy your pod.
