That is a very nice trailer-  seems to be a modern day inheritor of the "Land Yacht" cachet.  Very Airstream in finish and layout.  For me?  nope.

Now, if it's confession time, Furpod's Lance is another story.  Talk about love / lust...

Bob, no argument Lance makes a nice camper. Even better when it comes with two handsome furry friends like Furpod's got.

For me, I'm thinking a year or two out. It's all about fit and finish. The Ollie fits us and I'm just about finished with the reward/challenge of lots of mods and maintenance.

BTW, for those that might be interested, I just had shipped a bunch of parts from Forest River:

Ceiling panel (lower front or rear or bathroom walls)
30I62820A...2.7 X 48" X 96" DECOR PANELING - "GLO WHEAT LINEN" 1@$50.66......$50.66

Seam tape
30I64651A...1" SEAM TAPE - "GLO WHEAT LINEN"  10'@$0.28......$2.80

Seam Tape
30I82271A...6" OVERLAY PAPER GLO WHEAT LINEN 6'@$1.68......$10.08

Vinyl corner trim
30I16311A...7/8" FLEX GIMP, TAMPA TAN 8'@$0.14'......$1.12

Shipping: $48.89

ooooh.... Heart

But that price tag.

At least this has decent sized potable and grey tanks. We looked at the Airstream and their tanks were really small.  A back window is also a must for us as many of the nice sites have the view you're paying for at the rear.

Still bummed about Evergreen going OOB.

So easy to stray....  you can window shop just don't try on the shoes!

fwunder, jealous that you can get those parts direct from FR.  They still won't sell direct for my Salem.

Yeah, Doug. I was kinda surprised I could get all the original material too. Parts department was very friendly and helpful. Contact for whoever may need:

Lust and love!? What forum am I visiting?! Lol! Now I need to look at the Oliver!! We full-time and I do worry about our 179's lifespan. We don't really camp in winter weather but we'd like a true 4-season camper built for the wear and tear of full-time traveling. (Any suggestions out there?) Too bad we're poor and can't afford a yacht!!

Uhhh, yep, I got a suggestion...Oliver Legacy Elite II

She is beautiful, right? Right?! Those curves! That silky smooth skin.

If/when we decide to go full time or close to it (maybe sooner), I will figure out a way to get an Oliver...or something very similar. I will look for something that will require a minimum amount of maintenance, has a livable layout, is true 4-season and has a historical resale value sometimes exceeding new sale price - and will sell fast if need be.

I know, I know. I could buy three or four R-Pods for the same price and that's a legitimate argument but I just want to go and enjoy going anywhere and anytime and not worry about what's in the rear view mirror.

That said, we have thoroughly enjoyed our 178. We still do! When we do part ways, she will make a wonderful companion to a younger lover with a bit more stamina.

Have fun with your adventures!

fred
