I like your design a lot and will gleefully "rip it off" for my own use ! Thanks for the pic - very instructive.

Marwayne... I’m curious to know how stable your table is with the single pedestal? I’ve seen some use two pedestals to replace the contraption that FR uses but I see you only used one... I’m planning on stealing your design for the sliding table. Any advice?

I don't know what kind of look you're going for but I wanted something more homey than a camper table. I found one like this ($30 thrift store version) and it works beautifully. I lay it down for travel but the top comes off to easily use the whole thing outside if I want to. It snugs up out of the way when I don't need it and functions perfectly as a dining table when I do.

I'm finding that I am using my home-built table more than the dual pedestal mount for the stock table. It is easy to maneuver and lays down on the bed for travel. It is in my mods. This is the specific link: I did end up re-doing the table top though. The single board for each side meant that it was more subject to warping. I re-did it with narrower boards, reversing the grain and using a spline between each board. It is much more resistant to warping now.

Kup pod, if you look under the table in the back there is a support that I can flip up if we need the dinette for a bed
