We had some hail damage in Southern Indiana last Saturday evening. After inspecting the Pod I found a hole about the size of a small lemon in the cover over the roof air. No damage to the a c unit, but I would like to replace the cover. I emailed Forest River Sunday evening with the VIN, my name, address, e mail, cell phone, ect. I then called them tuesday during business, and wednesday during business hours ( I live in Indiana, same time zone) I have not heard a word back, come on guys at FR, I am trying to spend money with you, how about an acknowledgment of my contacts. ???????????

You may do better to contact the manufactuer of the AC unit. It sounds like it may be a part that could be ordered directly from the manufactuer of the AC. If you are able to get it through Forest River too I would compare prices. Until it is replaced perhaps you could use duck tape for a temporary repair.

Your right David, but a couple of times in the past FR has been good, and helpful. My next step is to contact Dometic direct, I was just kind of hoping for better P.R. from F.R. Short term I will put a piece of white duct tape over the (entrance wound) Donna and I were hoping to get out this weekend, she said just for one night, but they are saying thunderstorms, fri, sat, sun, monday. Oh well.

Definitely not like FR to not respond.  Did you try calling the parts department extension?

Techntrek, made the 3rd call today and got to talk to a human. they were helpful as usual, got the part ordered. They like most business are maybe trying to do more with less, I am just guessing. I am a small business owner of 23 years and I will tell you I return every call withing hours, I love the product (pod) and just want support from the manufactor. Lets go Poddin.

If you have the AC model #, you may wish to Google the AC cover. I found that Amazon.com had a replacement Dometic Frig. vent for about 1/2 the price anywhere else. And the shipping was free, if you can wait 5-10 days.  They will ship 'overnight' for a nominal price.
I always check with Google/Amazon.com if I don't need a part within the same day.
