Good idea! So, I got one! I added 4 drain holes and covered them with some plastic bug screen to keep the wasps out. I used good old super glue to attach the screen.

Nice job, Techntrek! It's sparkly clean! Oxyclean is the bomb. I use it around the house for everything from laundry soap (which I mix myself) to bathtub cleaner, etc. We are on a septic tank so I am very careful about cleaning products. I use mostly natural stuff if anyone is interested in the recipes, let me know.
Travis, I hear another project in your future.... A platform! |

Sounds like a house-mod for me instead of a Pod-Mod. Would love to be able to clean the roof easier.

Here is what i come up with, at least for now. 5 inch pvc post cover with caps. I sealed the far end and will have a gasket on the end I open. the ends that are on my hose are 4 1/2 in and would not fit in the r pod holder.this makes it so I can put the 90 and the pipe size adapter in there to

I haven't mounted mine yet. My Pod is out in the sun and it has been, and will be, in the mid to upper 90's. I'll have to go see where it will best fit though.

Terry - nice mod of a mod! I considered drilling several small holes, something too small for bees, but decided that any liquid would seep out on turns through the side doors. They are fairly tight but not watertight. If I find otherwise I can always drill later.
francoisfrogpod - I would be interested, my wife has been talking about using vinegar more for cleaning.
Craneman - that gray multi-threaded adapter is the part I wasn't sure would fit in the new tube, but does. Just FYI for anyone that wasn't sure what part I was talking about.

So glad you posted this. Why there was such a short tube installed ever. Could you please post come pictures of how you place it underneath. This is our first camper and still pretty new with it so just want to make sure that do it correctly. Anyone with a 179 do this? Is there anything I need to think about before installing. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have my pod anymore, but there are other threads here from others that have done it, with pics.
